I am passionate about all 3-D design and, after studying at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design, I moved to Central England to specialise in Furniture Design, receiving a BA(Hons) in 1996. Afterwards, I spent many years self-employed as a contemporary bespoke furniture designer/ maker within the Purbecks..
I continue to design and make, now focusing on locally-sourced wood. My designs showcase the unique & natural imperfections of wood, and emphasise all of it's tactile qualities.
In 2017, I combined my life-long love of dogs with my love of ceramics. I now also enjoy making "Pawtraits In Clay"- individually creating sculptures of your own pet- alongside a range of unique ceramic contemporary homeware- quirky hanging pots, vases, dishes, and more.
My studio is idyllically situated in a 19th century barn, set against an inspirational backdrop of the Purbeck Hills and World heritage coastline, and is also home to my partnership business, "Shop Dorset Makers", promoting and selling work from the county's finest artists & makers.
I welcome any enquiries, and look forward to hearing from you.
